I'm 25, doing a double major in English/ History. I read a lot. I write a lot also, but never out of pleasure or creativity. I never think "ahh I'll write a cool story"... more like "I have to write 12 pages for this damn class".

So, I think I'm pretty boring. The town I live in doesn't really offer much in the way of entertainment. Drinking and everything that comes along with that, but... I feel this town lacks any sort of direction. Or maybe I'm just projecting that. I don't know really. I haven't really had time to think about the real world very much lately. The time I do have I pretty much just giggle to myself about whatever the hell I'm daydreaming about.

I've been thinking I need to ride my bike more and take pictures of stuff. I don't know of what though. I think I should start taking pictures of random things.I play guitar though, I'm not a photographer, but it seemed like if I were to snap the right picture, I'd be able to capture the emotion I was feeling when I looked at whatever it is I was taking a picture of. Sort of trap it, and come back to it later... I think that be cool. Then when ever I didn't know how to feel about a situation, I could look at that picture and get some sense of direction on different emotions.... whoa, that was random typing. I really don't know how to do these self-summaries. Just FYI.

Anyway, I'm generally laid back. Unless we are talking about something I'm really in to or know about. I get pretty intense. But really, I like to just hang around a lot of times. Have random beers in dives, with random people who will tell me a random story about something random. Just to kind of escape yah know? Though I don't know what I would escape from. It's not like life is bad or anything really... just humdrum.

It seems like I'm missing something in life. Like there is this great theme that everyone is tapped in to and I just missed the memo. But, it's funny, I'm not unhappy. I'm a very upbeat person. The most sincere, pessimistic optimist. I'm just a realist. I don't really know how to explain it any better...To quote my favorite author: "I simply am not there".... but that doesn't really relate to me, I just like the way it sounds.

I like rainy, dreary, bleak weather. I think I should move to the Pacific Northwest. I also really, really like the cold. I like to open all the windows in my apartment when it's raining or really cold. I like the sun... at times.
